About Red Dress Day

Red Dress Day, also known as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S), is observed on May 5th. On this day, we honour the memories of our missing sisters and shine a light on the pain of their absence.

About Lisa Beaucage

Lisa Beaucage an Anishinaabe Kwe and esteemed member of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nations, is a self-taught artisan in the craft of beading. Her journey into beadwork began with a beading kit purchased from Sage Sister, a fellow Indigenous-owned enterprise. Graciously situated within Algonquin Territory, Lisa frequently participates in the vibrant Powwows encircling the area during the summer months, often accompanied by her sister and fellow beader, Jessie Trudeau.
